On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Japan-India diplomatic relations this year, Tagore 150 Japan and the India-Japan Cultural Centre in Santiniketan, West Bengal, India, will hold a symposium on how Tagore affected Japan and the world entitled “The Message from Tagore to Japan and the World.” We will be inviting professors and specialists on Sir Rabindranath Tagore at Visva Bharati in Santiniketan to try to enhance understanding of Tagore in multilateral discussions with Japanese specialists focusing on Tagore’s art works: poetry, literature, painting, music and performance (drama or dance).
