September 25, 2008 Display of books by Professor Kenneth B. Pyle

In association with the Commemorative Lecture by the 2008 Japan Foundation Awardee Kenneth B. Pyle “Emerging Political Generations in East Asia”, the library is displaying relevant titles from its collection until October 3.

August 27, 2008  Display of books on Inazo Nitobe

This fall, the I-House will launch a seminar series called the “Nitobe Juku.” The symbol and role model of this juku is Dr. Inazo Nitobe, whose numerous posts included Undersecretary General of the League of Nations, and who is famous as the author of Bushido: The Soul of Japan, which greatly contributed in introducing Japanese culture to the West.
In association with “Nitobe Juku,” the library is displaying relevant titles from its collection until Monday, September 22.
