The procedures

1. Individual members and Term members

The application should have recommendations from two current House Members. Please read our bylaws and privacy policy and submit your application either way of the following. Processing of your admission will be conducted under the guidance of the Membership Committee and you will be informed of your acceptance together with billing of the initial donation and annual dues. Upon payment, your membership card shall be promptly delivered to you at your mailing address designated in the application form.

An application form, membership bylaws, and other related information can be sent to you by postal mail upon request by postal mail, telephone, facsimile or e-mail.

2. Corporate members

Please contact the Membership Department for an application form and further details.

3. Library members and Program members

The application should have the recommendation of a member or the academic advisor of the home institution. Please contact the Library for a form and further processing details.

Payment by Automatic Bank Transfer

The annual membership dues and facilities charges can be paid by automatic transfer. The transfer system can save applying each time for payment and it doesn't cost any commission fees at all. Please contact the following address if you would like to receive an application form for the automatic transfer of funds.

  1. One or two months is required after doing the entrance paperwork until the first transaction can be done.
  2. Your membership dues from next year will be withdrawn on the 26th (or the next business day if the 26th is a bank holiday) of the month of expiration. Facility charges from next month will be withdrawn on the 26th of the following month. Please arrange for sufficient funds to be in your account by the day before.
