I-House has been registered as one of the public interest organizations which can receive a donation through the “hometown” tax payment system in Minato Ward. If you make a donation to Minato Ward using their Furusato Donation system, your hometown tax burden shall be reduced corresponding to the donation amount. Please specify “International House of Japan” on the application form and make the donation to Minato Ward by the end of December each year.

(This Furusato Donation system cannot be used for the initial donation to be paid at the time of I-House membership registration. However, these initial donations are tax-exempt in Japan, being donations to a Public Interest Incorporated Foundation.)
1. “Furusato Choice”
Donations to I-House through Minato-ku can be made online from the “Furusato Choice” one-stop platform.
(1) Enter {寄付金額 (donation amount)} and press {寄付する (donate)}
(2) Select the third option {会員登録しないで寄付する} and press {寄付の申込へ} to proceed without registering as a member
(3) Select {団体応援寄付金 (donations to support organizations)} and press {次へ} to proceed to the next step
(4) Enter {寄付者情報 (donor’s information)} and select {クレジットカード払い (pay by credit card)} in the field of “支払方法 (payment method) ” to proceed to the next step
(5) Be sure to enter {公益財団法人国際文化会館 (I-House)} in the entry field for “自治体からのアンケート” to proceed to the confirmation page
(6) Confirm the information you have entered and press {申し込みを確定する} to submit your application
2. Online Application
1. Please fill in and submit an online application form to the Minato ward office through
LoGo .
2. You will receive a payment slip by post directly from the Minato ward office.
3. Please pay the amount on the slip at one of the designated financial institutions.
