I-House regularly holds members-only events to which a distinguished member is invited as a guest. The Special Lecture Series for Members in June will feature Kinya Kitaohji. Kinya Kitaohji, a distinguished actor who has long stood at the forefront of Japanese cinema, television, and theater—from period dramas to contemporary works—will share reflections from his remarkable career spanning over 60 years. Along the way, he has encountered countless people, stories, and experiences that have shaped both his life and artistry. What does “authenticity” mean to an actor who has taken on so many roles? In this special lecture, Kitaohji will speak about the values and outlook that have guided his life, using the themes of “encounters” and “authenticity” as touchstones. This rare opportunity promises insights that resonate across generations and walks of life. We warmly invite you to join us for what is sure to be an inspiring and memorable event.
