[Library Display] Honoring Shiho Sakanishi on Her 130th Birth Anniversary and 50th Death Anniversary (Jan.5-Jan. 30, 2026)

 
The year 2026 marks the 130th anniversary of the birth and 50th anniversary of the death of Shiho (Shio) Sakanishi, a distinguished scholar and critic who was active in many fields and served as a trustee of the International House of Japan for over 23 years from its founding.
To honor Sakanishi’s legacy, the Library will present a small exhibition of her writings and related materials.

[Library] Grant from the Kasumi Kaikan (Fiscal Year 2024)

We are pleased to announce that the library has received a grant from the Kasumi Kaikan. As a result, we have been able to add 23 valuable books related to Japanese Studies, in the fields of humanities and social sciences, to our collection.
