  • Prolonged deflation, mounting government debt, uncertainties in the social security system, and widening inequality have made many in Japan pessimistic about the country’s future. German economist Jesper Koll has been researching and investing in Japan since becoming a resident of the country in 1986 and knows the Japanese economy inside out, including strengths and weaknesses that are often overlooked by the Japanese themselves. He is known for his positive and optimistic view of the Japanese economy and believes that Japan Surprises 2023. In this special lecture, he will give a full account of his forecast for the Japanese economy in 2023, including what we can expect from domestic and foreign investors, growth strategies and human resources investment of domestic companies, and the potential of the Japanese market.
